Myth - Flash Point of a sample is directly related to its Density.

Fact -  Actually, Flash point and Density of petroleum products are not directly related.

There is no direct relationship between flash point and its density.
 
From the following table it is clear that density may be more and flash point may not be more.

Flash Point is more related to front end distillation rather than its density or Kin. Viscosity.

It is vapor producing capability of the sample which is more important than its density.
Since petroleum refined products like Gasoline, Kerosene, Gasoil etc are mixture of number of different hydrocarbons ( Paraffins, Olefins, Aromatics and Naphthenes) similar to above table,  density and flash point are not directly related.
